His load in the Buffalo Hunter was a 610 grain Minie over 125 grains of fff.It is way easier than most folks that haven't pulled a load before realize to pull a load with a ball puller, especially on a clean barrel. If you don't already have one, get one with the brass ring that keeps the screw centered in the barrel. Screw it in and pull it. It will come out easy if the barrel was clean when it was loaded.Then forge you out a simple strap staple from a coat hanger or 1/8th inch wire. Pre-drill a couple of undersized holes and tap the staple in. Won't effect the value of this horn one bit! Use a little gun bluing or browning to take the new made off of your staple. That was copied over by Track of the Wolf. On a difficultly level, I can’t really say much because its my first kit build. I use the rear tang screw and if needed, drill and tap a new whole in the tang. Some of the TC rifle and some of the Pedersoli's come with a hole already there, but of not, do not panic, it's an easy 5 minute job to drill and tap a 6/32 or 8/32 hole. Most frizzens today are made of 6150 steel which is an oil hardening steel, however it will never get hard enough with an oil quench, so you need to use water. Step two was to clean/de-grease the surface thoroughly and plug the muzzle and touch hole. Then I applied cold browning solution. I use the stuff from Dixie because it works very well.Soak a couple of cotton floor mop strands in a potassium nitrate solution (black powder will work). Clamp one in the cocked jaws of your flintlock cock, light the end of it, and open the frizzen to expose your priming powder. Pull the trigger. Satisfaction guaranteed, and you just took off another 100 years!
The rifled barrel will spin the shot. When the shot leaves the muzzle it will open the pattern at very close range. The shot will most likely be damaged to add to poor shooting. Even in a smooth bore getting a good pattern can be a difficult. Leading the rifled barrel is a problem, and cleaning it out is a real chore.. Very hairy granny

The 10 gauge has very good triggers so does the Navy Arms Pietta.
