Alaska Housing offers a variety of rental programs to accommodate the diverse housing needs of Alaskans and ensure that eligible low-income individuals and families have access to safe, quality, affordable rentals. Alaska Housing uses the term family throughout the application; a family can be one or more persons.Housing choice vouchers are administered locally by Metropolitan Housing Alliance (MHA). MHA receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer the voucher program.
